Artists Statement: My jewellery design is strongly influenced by my interest in print and pattern. I create jewellery which fuses the surface decoration of two dimensional print and pattern with the three dimensional construction of jewellery. I concentrate on creating different surface qualities using techniques such as photo-etching, roll-printing and saw-piercing. I often use textures which are of personal significance, e.g. metro maps from a trip to New York. I enjoy playing with these patterns to create wearable and functional pieces in geometric and clean cut forms, with an emphasis on quality of materials and finish.
