Carol Dewart graduated from the drawing and painting department of Glasgow School of Art in 1981, followed by a post graduate year in 1982 studying embroidery and weaving, also at Glasgow. After graduation Carol stopped working for a time to raise a family. Having returned to full time painting, she is now developing a style which encompasses the use of fabrics and stitch work within a painting medium.
