Ewan Burnside (aka Jasper b) is based in Dunblane. He graduated in Modern Languages and Communications and works in software, web, graphic and print design while developing his photography. Many have suggested that Ewan's pictures have an archetypal quality ö the places he captures are familiar to everyone, even though they may never have been there. Using a completely digital workflow, but only ever making photographic enhancements that can be undertaken in a liquid lab, has allowed a deeper exploration into colour, form and structure, while aiming for purity in the final print. In addition to landscape photography and close-up studies, Ewan is developing his informal portraiture style with frequent commissions - and much help from his young son, Jasper B.
