Artist's Statement: The real art of the fugue defies simplistic definitions in mood, condition and can be likened more to the perpetual unravelling of life's mysteries. I believe that painting should follow this course and in doing so, personify not only the fleeting delights but also the flaws and imperfections of our world.

Biography: Studied Glasgow School of Art, Post Diploma 1973. Worked in Germany as Gastarbeiter in 1970s. Travelled/resided in Europe, Africa and the United States. Commercial experience in decorative arts.

1984 - Arts Council Travel Bursary to Central Africa
2000 - Royal Institute of Watercolourists Award for Best Group of Works
