My work is inspired by natural forms, often captured through my own photography, which I use as a tool for the exploration of shape and composition. I draw on the concept of simplifying and stylising organic shapes into patterns and silhouettes, taking influence from the visuals in Japanese textiles. In my jewellery I explore the connection between the floral and plant structures that are my inspiration and the development of patterns from these forms, which is expressed through the technique of piercing.
