Lindsay Moverley was born in Falkirk in 1947, he achieved D.A. Drawing & Painting from Glasgow School of Art 1969 and has been principal teacher of art for 30 years until he retired recently in 2004. Early influences include; Kandinsky, Bonnard, Matisse, Alan Davie as well as various abstract expressionists. " I do not approach a painting with any pre-conceived idea, but allow the activity of painting to produce combinations of colours and forms which appeal to me and subsequently the viewer."
