Michael Corsar studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee between 1992 - 1996 and has exhibited regularly since. Artists Statement Artists such as Gerhard Richter, Casper David Friedrich and Edward Hopper are my inspiration. They make the everyday appear beautiful and somehow spiritual. I would describe myself as a painter of light or, to be exact a remover of darkness. I begin with a dark ground and gently rub back into it, lifting the painting from beneath.
