Artists Statement: Pat Beveridge lives and works in Fife, Scotland. She retired from teaching in 2004 to live her dream of becoming a full time artist. Already an accomplished painter, Pat began working in textiles and mixed media in 2002. She has a permanent exhibition in her studio in Glenrothes and exhibits throughout the UK. Pat's work was judged 'best in show' at one of the Shell Expro exhibitions held annually in Kirkcaldy Art Gallery and Museum and she enjoyed similar success in 2004 with a textile/mixed media work shown at the 'Loose Threads' exhibition in Perth City Hall. Other early textile works have been highly commended. Pat's work is remarkable for its combination of vibrant and subtle colours and widely recognised in the Fife and Tayside areas in particular.
