Ritchie Collins

Ritchie Collins has painted all his life. He studied illustration at The College of Building and Printing in Glasgow. Ritchie traveled for a time before settling in Edinburgh, Where he works as a resident artist and gallery manager. Ritchie's paintings are influenced by the Scottish coast and surrounding countryside where he grew up. Celtic art and myths are a permanent source of inspiration. He uses many different types of media to create the layered textural look he achieves. Colour, simple form and movement are combined to give the original work an expressive quality.
