Rona McKee graduated from Glasgow School of Art, Silversmithing and Jewellery in 2004.
Her work is inspired from her own personal experience as a hay fever sufferer. Examining
various organic structures, in particular magnified pollen particles has developed her
designs. The work consists of many small delicate single units that are grouped together
to create a mass of controlled pattern. The work is subtle in colour, as one cannot often
see pollen particles with the naked eye. She mainly uses silver, which has been blanched or
enamelled white to give a soft delicate feel to the work.
